Plucked off the table at a Book Swap / BookCrossing meetup in Jeremiah’s Taproom, Elm Row, Edinburgh, on Thursday 01 Aug 2019. I’m planning registering this and releasing in the nearby ‘Edinburgh Central’ Scottish Youth Hostel on the corner of Annandale Street and Leith Walk. Kinda’ tempted to read this as I read another of this series years ago and enjoyed it...
---------------------
Book burble: Meet Bond, James Bond.
Before the name became a legend.
Before the boy became the man.
There’s something in the water at Loch Silverfin. Something deadly. Something that must be kept secret . . .
It’s James Bond’s first day at Eton, and already he’s met his first enemy. This is the start of an adventure that will take him from the school playing fields to the remote shores of Loch Silverfin and a terrifying discovery that threatens to unleash a new breed of warfare.
The legend begins with Silverfin
SILVERFIN (Young James Bond, 1) – CHARLIE HIGSON (2005) | ISBN: 978-0-141-31859-2 | Publisher: Puffin

Electrifying! 😊 Pretty genius, I'm impressed! Fits like the right puzzle piece into the Bond world picture.

Already with its intended recipient who is kindly holding off making a 'caught' journal entry till I have officially made a 'release' journal entry! Book 7 of an ADVENT CALENDAR OF BOOKCROSSING BOOKS sent to eager readers in Somerset. Whoop, book one of a fine series, this sets up a most appreciated start to the whole Bond fandango! An exceptionally robust beginning, applause is definitely due to Higson.
FESTIVE GREETINGS from rainbow3. 😃
FESTIVE GREETINGS from rainbow3. 😃
An exceedingly late journaling of the parts of the Advent Calendar of Books received in December 2021. Apologies rainbow3, these have been awaiting journaling for ages, forgotten about, remembered again, forgotten again and only now have finally I got around to these!
This I had to retrieve as Mt Flutterbies9 had already squirrelled off with it! Still, it looks like it may be read in short order.

Well, it was read in short order indeed and added into a bag of books Mr Flutterbies9 had read (but cannot recall details for me to write meaningful reviews) but thought that I would not care to read.
When asked, he thought this book was ok, but for him, not special. He has other authors he reads of Sherlock exploits (which he seems to prefer) and says he would probably not follow young Bond stories.
Sending out in a bookbox for further adventures in the wide world!
